The Town of Richmond, RI and its contractor, Vision Government Solutions, Inc. of Northborough, MA have completed the State mandated valuation update. The date of reassessment for this project is December 31, 2016 and valuations reflect the real estate market of 2016.
With the valuation work completed in early 2017, residents will be notified of the new proposed assessments. Notices will be mailed on February 24th. Individuals wishing to discuss their assessments with Vision Government Solutions will be able to schedule an informal review with Vision personnel in Richmond. Instructions for scheduling a hearing are included with the notices. Reviews are by appointment only and will be held at the Richmond Town Hall. Once the review process is complete, those who have attended a hearing will receive a second notice advising them of any changes made to their assessment. The new assessments will then appear on the tax bills issued during the summer of 2017.
