Ordinance Amendment - Public Hearing

TOWN OF RICHMOND, RHODE ISLAND

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 AMENDMENT to the CODE OF ORDINANCES

Notice is hereby given that the Richmond Town Council will conduct a PUBLIC HEARING at the Town Hall on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 6:00 P.M. on a proposed amendments to Chapter 1.08 – Ordinance Violations and Chapter 3.06 – Schedule of Fees of the Richmond Code of Ordinances.  The proposed amendment to Chapter 1.08.010 – Penalties would make the Town Ordinance consistent with state law.  The proposed amendment to Chapter 3.06.040 – Building Inspection Fees would allow the Building Official to charge a $50 fee for the third and subsequent trips to a work site to inspect the same work.  The proposed amendment to Chapter 3.06.080 – Entertainment License Fees would be deleting the three-month outdoor entertainment permit.

The proposed amendment may be examined at the Town Clerk’s Office, Richmond Town Hall, 5 Richmond Townhouse Road, Wyoming, R.I., between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays. Copies are available for 15 cents per page. The proposed amendment may be changed during the public hearing, without further advertising, as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the public hearing. Any such change will be presented for comment during the public hearing.

Persons with sensory impairments who will require auxiliary aids during the meeting should contact the Town Clerk's Office (401-539-9000 ext. 9) at least 48 hours before the meeting.
